Do you remember the time when you drove up to a gas station and a couple of guys immediately ran out and lifted your hood, checked your water and your oil, while the other one was checking the air in your tires? Then one of them would quickly come up to your window and say, "fill'er up sir?" You could say yes please, or no, just give me three dollars worth. He would put your gas in for you, and you would pay him from the window of your car, and would have proper tire pressure, and water in your radiator, all at no extra cost.
Then all of a sudden it became two different aisles. "Full Service" and "Self Service". The gas cost more for 'full service' . There are still signs around that say "self service". Where do you think that came from? Now, there's not a gas station in America that pumps your gas for you, let alone check your oil, water and air.
That, in a nutshell is what is wrong with America. We no longer want to do for each other to benefit ourselves, but we want to do for ourselves, and to hell with others. "Hello, what can I squeeze you for or get off you today?" That's what we've been taught, and that's the way society is.
It doesn't take a genious to figure out, STOP being selfish, and your rewards will be greater. Moraly if not monetarily. HELP your fellow man that you see in trouble if you can. Do not ignore him and say it's his problem. For he may be able to help you some day. Put your best foot forward and GIVE, it'll make you feel better. And I don't mean money, I mean your skills, your knowledge, your things you have no use for any longer that you would throw away anyway.
Stop worshiping the useless piece of paper with George Washington's portrait on it. There's more to life than that. It has it's place, but it is not to be worshipped.
We need to get back to treating each other like human beings, not how much money do you have. And what can I get off you today? Money is rapidly becomming worthless, so we will need to learn to barter our goods and skills once again. And doi it in a civilized manner, not take your AK and TAKE what's left. That's stupid.
You'll need people with you, so get into the mode of helping others and they just might remember that you helped them.
